Rooted in coastal communities across West Sussex, Sussex-by-the-Sea Shantymen are a lively crew keeping traditional seafaring songs alive. Formed 2 years ago. they’ve quickly become a familier sight at festivals, pubs& cafes, including the South Downs Shanty & Music Festival. Their rich harmonies and infectious spirit transport audiences to the world of tall ships and life at sea. Passionate about heritage and community, they also raise funds for local charities – promising warmth, nostalgia and plenty of singalong moments.
