Hastings Borough Council advises that essential works are starting this month at some of the reservoirs within Alexandra Park.
Councillor Colin Fitzgerald, lead councillor for environmental services said,
“Alterations to the dam at Shornden Reservoir are being undertaken as part of the Reservoirs act 1975. This will be carried out at the same time as works to Harmers Reservoir to disable the old redundant outfall.”
The Shornden work is scheduled to start 10 Sept and will take around 3 weeks to complete. The work to Harmers will take the completion to a 4th week.
Main site access will be from Harmers Layby off Upper Park Road and some access will be restricted.
