After a very high-profile year for the sport, Brighton is next month staging the first in a series of unique sporting events with sporting legends, the first hosted by England netball captain Serena Guthrie and colleague Rachel Dunn at Brighton University.
Sporty Parents Netball gives the unique chance for parents to get together to play for the school team, a squad of ten parents (or family and friends) are joined by ten children, the children receiving coaching from the attending England netballers.
Serena Guthrie was looking forward to being part of this unique series “I am excited by this project and looking forward to a day of coaching both the kids and their parents and helping create a memorable family day. I’d also like to thank Brighton University for their great help in hosting this event”.
The invitation is being extended to full squads of parents from local schools though organisers are also placing together small groups of parents drawn from schools around the region.
The event is being held at the Falmer site at Brighton University on the 29th September 2019, and the seven hour experience costs £60 per person. Interested parents are invited to register via www.sportyparents.com/netball
