Businesses looking to grow and protect themselves against cyber crime are invited to attend a ‘Better Business for All’ conference this April.
Aiming to bring together businesses and regulators, key topics will include the new general data protection regulations, cyber security and how to comply with health and safety laws.
The Better Business for All event is run by the Chamber of Commerce in partnership with local regulators.
It is taking place 17 April from 8am to 1pm at the Hydro Hotel, Eastbourne.
There will be talks, networking opportunities and chance to meet local regulators including West Sussex Trading Standards and East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service.
West Sussex Trading Standards Manager Peter Aston said: “The Better Business for All event is of relevance to all business owners in Sussex.
“With the upcoming changes to data protection regulations and the ever-present threat of cyber security, businesses can really benefit from hearing these speakers and meeting regulators.
“Not only will business owners have the chance to listen to speakers, there will also be opportunities to network and talk face-to-face with regulators.
Cabinet Member for Safer, Stronger Communities Debbie Kennard said: “Businesses contribute so much to our economy and communities here in West Sussex.
“It is important we do all we can to support them.
“I am so pleased that this is a Sussex-wide conference and would urge all business owners to book tickets and make the most of their expertise.”
The Better Business for All event will cover the following topics:
•Department for Business Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS)
