Creative Commissions grant money
Adur & Worthing Trust is the charity behind the Colonnade House and the partnership with Worthing Borough Council that helped bring the creative hub to life. A part of their work as a charity is to help get ideas and new creative businesses off the ground.
Creative Commissions launches on Tuesday 1st February and the trust are offering grants of between £500 and £1000 to local creatives in Adur and Worthing who want to get a project off the ground.
Creative projects funded previously
Last year, nine local arts projects received funding from the Creative Commissions grant scheme. Projects took place throughout 2021 and included a 24-hour novel writing event, a soundtrack for Worthing seafront streamed via a location-based app and mini-installations that celebrated the work of carers.
The trustees are looking forward to getting proposals for projects from across all areas of the arts including; visual arts, performance, music, film, photography, dance, digital, literature, craft and more.
Accompanying the scheme, an exhibition at Colonnade House featuring information and films about previous projects will be open from 1st – 20th February. The scheme launches on February 1st and applications must be submitted by 13th March at 23:59.
