Organisers of Haywards Heath’s Proms in the Park have announced a diverse musical line-up for the second night of their festival.
Concert-goers will have the chance to hear everything from classical music to toe-tapping jive, before an internationally-renowned Elvis Presley tribute act closes the night.
The Ensemble Reza Community Orchestra, which includes more than 22 families from the local area, will kick off proceedings with a programme of popular classics featuring In the Hall of the Mountain King by Grieg, Hoe Down from Copland’s lively Rodeo, and the magical Nimrod from Elgar’s Enigma Variations.
‘Jive Time’ will follow the Orchestra with dance supremo Colin Tenn of Brighton Jive performing his renowned Latin dance moves to the sound of spectacular swing tunes.
The evening will culminate with the Brighton Jive coming together to support Mark A. Wright, a leading Elvis Presley tribute artist, to recreate the sights and sounds of classics like Hound Dog, Jailhouse Rock and Can’t Help Falling in Love.
Tim French MBE, Founder of It’s Magic Events, said: “We’re thrilled to announce this eclectic evening of entertainment for Haywards Heaths’ Summer Festival of Music. The Ensemble Reza Community Orchestra is immensely talented and offers a great opportunity to introduce youngsters to classical music, while ‘Jive Time’ and Mark A. Wright’s Elvis act are guaranteed to get the audience on their feet to enjoy some of the greatest tunes of all time.”
