Christmas Tree Recycling
As Christmas trees start to come down after the festive period, The Onslow Arms re-opened its Christmas Tree recycling service so all residents who don’t want to throw away their Christmas Trees can recycle them instead.
For a £5 donation to Loxwood Primary School the team at the Loxwood pub will recycle all your trees. The donation will go directly to Loxwood Primary School to help support their fundraising efforts in the new year.
Onslow Arms Christmas tree recycling point will be open until Monday 10th January. Any questions contact the pub directly on [email protected]
Resident Pygmy Goats
The recycled tress will be enjoyed by the local resident Pygmy goats Barley and Hopps, who will chomp at the trees long into the new year. In addition to being enjoyed by Onslow Arms goats’ the trees will also be used to assist in flood defences for the car park and beer gardens.
It was very successful last year, with raising over £200, and this time the pub is able to open.
Rob Barr from Onslow Arms Commented “It’s a great way to dispose of Christmas trees, without them going to landfill whilst raising money for Charity. Hopps and Barley will love chomping on the Christmas trees and ones they don’t chow down on will be used around our gardens”
