HPPC Leyton and Elsie Christmas card runners up

Andrew Griffith’s Christmas Card Winners

Andrew Griffith MP visited schools in Hurstpierpoint and Pulborough on 3rd December to meet some of the children who were amongst the winners in his annual Christmas card competition.

The runners up in his Christmas card design competition were: Elsie Hawkins of St Lawrence Church of England Primary School, Gemma Bramley of St Mary’s Church of England School in Pulborough, Elsie Humphries and Leyton Jones of Hurstpierpoint College Preparatory School. Their pictures will be printed on one side of the card.

The children were thanked personally by Andrew and each received a certificate and a small prize.

Andrew received around 200 entries, and he wrote a letter of thanks to every child who took part. All the pictures can be viewed on his website

The MP’s Christmas card will be sent to over 1,500 people, including the Prime Minster.

Andrew Griffith said: “I am absolutely delighted to have received so many wonderful pictures by local school children. It was incredibly hard to choose the best ones and am grateful to Hassocks-based artist and illustrator Ruth Waters for helping me with this daunting task. I enjoyed meeting the winners today and being able to say thank you for all of their hard work.”
