Christmas At Cowdray outdoor light trail experience

The grounds of the Cowdray Estate are set to shine bright as Light Up Trails return with a brand new outdoor light trail.

This year’s Christmas At Cowdray will have new installations created by light artists and designers, alongside food and drink completing a festive sensory feast. This year’s Christmas At Cowdray will also feature special guest Santa coming to join this year.

The unique mile-long Christmas light trail promises to bring the magic of Christmas to Cowdray, the country estate in the heart of the South Downs National Park containing the ruins of one of the Tudor homes favoured by both Henry VIII and Elizabeth I.

Visitors and families will be able to wander through this landscape enjoying access to areas that usually remain private, including the Cowdray woods. Under starlit skies visitors can discover a series of installations created by a roster of international artists illuminated against the night by LED lights.

The experience is further enhanced by specially commissioned music and in quieter moments the sounds of nature from the Estate can be enjoyed.
