Chichester Lions Club news

As always the first Tuesday of the month saw the members of Chichester Lions Club hold a business meeting.
This month the club pledged over £1300.00 to local causes as well as organising volunteers for the Marie Curie collection and an exit collection at Fontwell racecourse to which we are very grateful.

Lion President Richard Cowell received a letter of thanks from the Mayor of Chichester,Councillor Peter Evans, for the club contribution to his chosen charity and a Certificate of Appreciation from North Notts Lions Club for contributing to their DVD on sight awareness.

Some members reminisced about the trip to the Tate in london to see the EY Exhibition: Impressionists in London.

Another social evening is planned to hear from the Young Carers about their recent day out paid for by the club.

Plans for a beach clean in Bognor after easter are being made with the other clubs in the zone and if successful we may try looking at tidying part of the South Downs Way and other local beauty spots.

The following businesses in and around Chichester are supporting the Lions Club Easter Egg raffle in aid of the Friend’s of St Richard’s Hospital prostate cancer appeal.
Lion President Richard Cowell said this is an eggciting opportunity to support a local initiative.

Each venue has an egg for raffle so you have eleven 1 in 120 chances to crack Easter for you and your family.
