opportunity and raise money for a wonderful cause.
Home-Start supports local families, with over 100 families supported this year already. This is all made possible by dedicated staff and volunteers who’s aim is to ensure that all children are given the same opportunities promote their wellbeing and development and have the best start in life.
An Arundel Firefighter and Aldingbourne Primary School’s Head Teacher will join fellow thrillseekers who are abseiling 180ft. Miss Elizabeth Webster, the daredevil Head Teacher of Aldingbourne Primary School near Arundel, is excited to raise money for her local Home-Start.
Miss Webster is described as “very jolly, crazy and the best Head Teacher there is!” She teaches PE in the primary school and likes adventure holidays so this challenge on her doorstep is the
perfect Sunday activity for her!
Martin Hill a man who is used to heights! Martin is a local firefighter who will descend the Bake House Tower on Sunday 30th September. He joined Arundel Station in December 2013 as a retained firefighter with West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service.
Over his five years of service, Martin has seen for himself local families who are struggling through challenging times and hopes
that by abseiling he can raise funds to support these local families in need and highlight the service Home-Start offers to families with young children.
There are spaces left for abseils between 2-4pm on 30th September with a registration fee of £25 and sponsorship target of £250 to meet. Go to Eventbrite ‘Arundel Castle Abseil for Home-Start’ for more details or to sponsor abseilers or email the team on [email protected]
