2023 Chichester Fringe applications open for performers
Chichester is to host a fringe festival in June 2023 that breaks down barriers for up-and-coming performers, enabling them to showcase their work. Applications are now open for a new season of fringe events in Chichester.
Chichester Fringe is playing host to a series of theatre and comedy nights, spoken word, dance and music performances in local spaces throughout the community from 1st to 18th June 2023. Performance spaces will include traditional venues, cafés, local entertainment hotspots and a canal boat. One special aspect of the festival is that no fee is required to take part.
Chichester Fringe is looking for passionate performers, of all backgrounds and experience, to take part. Theatre companies, comedians, spoken word artists, dance groups, musicians and solo performers are encouraged to apply using this online application form: docs.google.com/forms
Applications are open throughout the first quarter of 2023, and the fringe producers will contact all applicants on the outcome of their application in March 2023. Artists are encouraged to apply as soon as possible, with more information on the website: www.chichesterfringe.co.uk/take-part
Chichester Fringe works on a profit-share basis between the venue, the fringe and the artists; as they do not ask for any fees to take part, the aim is to be as accessible as possible and provide a platform for everyone to participate.
Chichester Fringe will take the lead on venue liaison, marketing and PR, but artists are encouraged to do their own marketing to further their professional development and promote the fringe. This is a good opportunity for aspiring and professional entertainers, whatever their passion or act, with support provided by the Chichester Fringe team.
