2. Amberley Museum

Set in a 36 acre site in the South Downs, this is a lovely place to stroll around, learn from a wide range of exhibits. 3. The Observatory Science Centre

Fun for all ages, go and try the hands-on science experiments provided. 4. Newhaven Fort

Walk around this well set out museum, and uncover the story of the fort. The 10- acre site is nice to walk around, to get some exercise and learn at the same time. 5. Shipwreck Museum

Set in the historic Old Town of Hastings, East Sussex, this museum has many artefacts from ships wrecked in the English Channel. 6. Selsey Lifeboat Station

7. South Downs Planetarium

If you’re interested in the stars and space, why not pay this lovely volunteer-run planetarium in Chichester a visit? 8. Novium Museum

Purpose built to show the remains of an old Roman bathhouse, which were hidden until now, this museum contains 150,000 artefacts on display. 9. Fishbourne Roman Palace

Built in the 1st century AD, this is an excellent educational day out. 10. Tangmere Military Aviation
